MLB 2017 Game #7: Rangers vs. White Sox

Almost one month has passed since my last game in Milwaukee when the Brewers defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers. Since it's the start of a new month and it's a long holiday weekend, I figured I could sneak in a game.

The Chicago Cubs are in Cincinnati to play the Reds, so I'm at Guaranteed Rate Field to see the Chicago White Sox (35-44) host the Texas Rangers (39-41). Both teams are at or near the bottom of their respective divisions. The White Sox trail the defending American League pennant winning Cleveland Indians by 7.5 games. The Rangers trail the Houston Astros by 14.5 games.

Today, the Rangers will send Cole Hamels (2-0, 4.38 ERA) to the mound. The White Sox will answer with Derek Holland (5-7, 4.26 ERA).
