MLB 2019 Game #13: Diamondbacks vs. BrewersThis evening, a college friend and I are headed to Miller Park for a game between the Arizona Diamondbacks (64-65, .496) and the Milwaukee Brewers (66-62, .516). Since it's Player's Weekend, we'll get a first-hand look at the ill-received black and white uniforms.
The Diamondbacks are sending Zac Gallen (2-3, 2.45 ERA), a 24-year-old right-handed pitcher to the mound. The Brewers will answer with Chase Anderson (5-3, 4.54 ERA).
Arizona sits in second place in the National League West, but they trail the Los Angeles Dodgers (85-45, .654) for 20 games. If they have aspirations of reaching the postseason, they'll have to win one of the wild card spots. They currently sit 5 games out of the second spot.
Milwaukee is very much alive in the National League Central standings. The Brewers are currently in third place, 3 games behind the St. Louis Cardinals (69-58, .543). To complicate things, they sit three games out of the second wild card slot.
