MLB 2022 Game #4: Braves vs. Brewers

Back to Milwaukee this evening for the first two consecutive nights of baseball. I'll need to dig through the archives, but it's been quite some time since I've seen the same two teams play on consecutive nights.

The defending World Series champions, the Atlanta Braves (16-19, .457), are opening this series sitting in third place in the National League East. They sit 6 1/2 games behind the New York Mets (23-13, .639). They are sending 24-year-old righthander, Ian Anderson (3-1, 4.20 ERA) to the mound. During his six starts, he logged 30 innings and fanned 22 hitters.

The first-place Milwaukee Brewers (22-13, .629) hold a 2 1/2 game lead over the St. Louis Cardinals (19-15, .559). They will counter with 25-year-old Freddy Peralta (2-1, 4.40 ERA). Peralta made six starts in 2022, logged 28 2/3 innings and fanned 38 hitters.

Not much time has passed since I've seen the Braves and Brewers battle. I was at American Family Field for Game 2 of the 2021 National League Division Series.
