MLB Game #16: Brewers vs. Cubs

After work, we are headed to Wrigley Field to see our two teams inch closer to a division title and a wild card spot. The Chicago Cubs are coming off two outstanding pitching performances. Of course Carlos Zambrano threw a no-hitter on Sunday, and Ted Lilly took a no-hitter into the seventh inning yesterday. Plus, the Brewers will be playing their first game in the post-Yost era. Brewers manager, Ned Yost, was fired on Monday.

This evening's pitching match-up should be fantastic. The Brewers ace, CC Sabathia (15-8), will square off against Ryan Dempster (15-6).

As usual, the Cubs and Brewers are still atop the National League Central Division standings.

Chicago Cubs 90-58 --- (Division Magic Number - 6)
Milwaukee Brewers 83-67 8 GB (Wild Card Magic Number - 11)
Houston Astros 80-69 10.5 GB
St. Louis Cardinals 78-71 12.5 GB
Cincinnati Reds 68-81 22.5 GB (Eliminated from playoff contention)
Pittsburgh Pirates 63-87 28 GB (Eliminated from playoff contention)

GOOOOOOOOOOOO CUBBIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm super crazy jealous that you're going to the game tonight. Should be a blast. I can only imagine how charged the atmosphere is going to be.
