Lou!Today the Chicago Cubs picked up another postseason award. Lou Piniella was named the 2008 National League Manager of the Year. Piniella was the first manager to lead the Cubs to two consecutive postseason appearances since Frank Chance (Yes! Frank Chance from the infamous Tinkers-to-Evers-to-Chance) accomplished the feat in 1906, 1907 and 1908.
Congratulations to Lou, but I would still trade that award and Geovany Soto's Rookie of the Year Award for the World Series trophy.
