Looking Forward to a Short Week

I am ecstatic that this is a short week. I am taking Wednesday off, and with the holiday on Thursday and Friday, that means just two days in the office. Unfortunately, the two days will be packed with activity.

My company is submitting a statement of qualifications to a local environmental organization. It's due on Tuesday by the end of the day. Normally, I just supervise this process and offer my two (or three) cents. Basically for RFPs and RFQs, i just proofread, make minor revisions, and make sure someone is delivering the packet to the proper location. Today, however, our environmental staff is under an intense deadline on a huge project, and some of the other staff who normally write copy are out on vacation for the entire week. Good thing we had a decent start last week. I'm going to have to get involved more than usual.

I can't wait until Wednesday. Susan and I are both taking the day off to prepare for Thanksgiving at our house. Looking forward to catching a movie, and honestly, nothing else that day.

Sounds like you will need the holiday to recover from the week! Sounds like a busy one but productive one. Sometimes short weeks seem longer than regular weeks! :)

Bill, it sounds like tomorrow afternoon you will need to consume an Adult Beverage.

I bought the Barefoot Contessa Paerty book-thanks for the tip. Be sure to take pictures of your dinner. I'm sure it will be very nice. Happy Thanksgiving!

We have all of Ina's Barefoot Contesa books. I think she just released a new one this year.

Yeah, there is a back to basics book, I think. I like Ina Garten--she's a basic person with great tastes in recipes and entertaining.
