A Day of History

It seems like the presidential election took place ages ago. Inauguration Day 2009 has finally arrived, but I am somewhat disappointed that I will be so busy today. Even though I have the DVR recording some of the day's events, I was hoping to get the opportunity to watch some of it live. I am sure CNN, or some other news outlet, will be replay most of the significant moments. Who knows, I still might be able to watch some.

Where will you be watching today's ceremonies?

Bill, I reviewed today's TV schedule and it looks like most networks are covering about a 6 to 8 hour span. I believe Dateline is on at 8 or 9pm and it'll be doing a recap so I'd Tivo that, too if you won't be home at that time.

I'm not sure if I'll get to watch anything live. We have a TV at work but it's hit or miss and it's not intended for staff so I need to find some creative ways to stand in front of it.

In this world, someone will do a DVD of the event and only pull out the good parts. That's probably when I will see any of it.

I believe it's going to be live on Facebook.com - we already have the coverage on this morning.

We got up early, for us, this morning anticipating having to drive an hour and a half to Salisbury for Richard's treatment but due to the snow we have to stay home. Too bad..:>We are sitting in our recliners watching GMA. I should say I am watching GMA, Richard is practicing his moose calls and scarring the cats!LOL

I'm watching at home with Matt, Happy, Hobo & Holly. I think the cats are the most excited. We have a Inauguration Party to attend this evening too. Bill, I hope you can catch a glimpse sometime today.

I have DVR recording CNN all day and hoping to catch it between classes!

Damn, I'm at home, and I thought I'd be able to watch it live, but I will be picking up my daughter at preschool between 11:30 and noon, precisely when the actual swearing in will take place. I'll have to see the highlights later on since I don't feel like fighting it out with my DVD/Cable box system.

My meeting was cancelled, so I was able to catch it on the radio.
