On the Air Again

Yes, I know. The game will be filled with players wearing numbers like 97, 68 and 83, but Chicago Cubs baseball will return to the airwaves this afternoon. Honestly, some players might have duplicate numbers or, perhaps, no uniform number at all. Welcome to spring training baseball.

At 2:05 p.m. CT, the Cubs will play the Los Angeles Dodgers. The starters will play one, maybe two innings at the most. I am looking forward to the sounds of the game again. Of course, this means the return of Ron Santo's pointless rambling. Good grief.

Tomorrow is Brewers vs Cubs, same time.

Sidebar: Bill, with you be coming up on Saturday for the "Tailgate" at 9am???? First 2,000 fans get lots o free stuff and a chance to get frostbite on your toes?

Woohoo, baseball is back! Spring training is like seeing the first sprig of green grass push up from the snow at the end of a long winter.

No, we won't be at the tailgate on Saturday. Do the Brewers have details on their website? I'll have to look.
