MLB Game #6: Brewers vs. CubsApparently, I only needed to wait six games to see the Chicago Cubs play this season. If you recall, we were at the Cubs/Braves game in Atlanta during early June. After a two-hour rain delay, the game was called.
Today, Susan and I are headed to Wrigley Field to see our two teams. The last time we saw the Brewers and Cubs play each other was the final game of the 2008 regular season at Miller Park. The Brewers won that game and launched themselves into the playoffs as the National League wild card. The last time we saw them play each other at Wrigley Field was mid-September last year. The Cubs won that night and inched closer to clinching the National League Central Division title.
Today's game finds Jeff Suppan (5-6, 4.86 ERA) matched up against Carlos Zambrano (4-3, 3.69 ERA). The Brewers come into today's game tied with the St. Louis Cardinals for first place in the division. The Cubs trail the Brewers and Cardinals by two-and-half games and are in fourth place behind the Cincinnati Reds.
