Super Bowl Commercials
People have already started talking about Super Bowl commercials. Which spots will be funny? What will Budweiser do? How about Go Daddy? Each year we hear the same stories about how much they cost. Yes, companies spend millions on 30 second spots due to the exposure they'll receive during that one game. On television last night, I watched a show that played some of the greatest commercials from the last decade. Some were funny, others were simply dull and boring. I have just one request for this year.

Please, no talking animals. That's become so cliche.

1) I don't care for talking animals or babies. But I love Bud commercials. I still howl with laughter at the streaking lamb. The spot in this commericial shows a ram laughing hard and tapping his front leg - it is priceless. I also love the one where the horse fetches the tree limb and the where the dog helps the horse work out so he will be chosen for the team next time. These are great with no talking animals involved.

2) I did enjoy the series of commercial that CareerBuilder.com ran with the monkeys in the office. When the chart was pointed down, they were said. One of the monkeys filled it around to point up, then they partied. Made me laugh.

3) I enjoy the Bud commercials, also. I just read where Pepsi will have no commercials in the Super Bowl. Does this mean Britney Spears is looking for work??

4) When I worked in advertising we'd get to watch a reel of the Superbowl commercials our agency created before they aired...Pepsi was one of our biggest clients. Not really into it anymore. And I agree with the talking animals! BUt I do always get a kick out of the talking baby E-Trade commercials. "Shankapotomous" lol!

5) YES Jules! The e-Trade commercials are hilarious. "Take...these broken wings...and learn to fly again..." Classic.
