Let's Play Nine

This morning I get to drag my golf clubs out of the garage and act like I didn't forget to play golf over the winter. I have a tee time at 12:15 p.m. at Sugar Creek Golf Course in Villa Park. My company is a silver sponsor for the 15th Annual Sugar Creek Open, the event I started as an intern back in 1994.

For the last several years, the first time I golf for the season is as a participant in this event. This event uses a best ball/scramble format, so that usually helps. I generally consider this a glorified practice round.

This will also be the first time I have played this event and did not work for the park district. I swung by last year, but just for lunch. We should have good weather, so I'm excited.

4) I'd be happy just to be outside on a nice day doing something other than yard work. I hope you had fun.

5) My foursome ended with a 31. One under par. When we were leaving, we were tied for first place.
