MLB 2011 Game #1: Braves vs. BrewersA total of 184 days have passed since my final baseball game of the 2010 season. Tonight, that streak ends. I'm headed up to Milwaukee's Miller Park to watch the Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers play.
The Braves find themselves in second place in the National League East (3-1). They trail the undefeated Philadelphia Phillies by half a game. On the other hand, the Brewers are still looking for their first win of the young season. They currently sit in last place in the National League Central (0-4). They trail the undefeated Cincinnati Reds by three and half games.
Tonight's pitching match-up:
Both teams will send their opening day starters back to the hill for their second starts of the regular season. The Braves will start Derek Lowe (1-0, 0.00) who pitched 5 2/3 scoreless innings against the Washington Nationals. He allowed three hits and struck out six. The Brewers will start Yovani Gallardo (0-0, 3.00) who pitched six innings against the Cincinnati Reds. He allowed two earned runs on seven hits. He struck out four.
