MLB 2011 Game #11: Pirates vs. Brewers

As the 2011 season moves into mid-August, the race for the National League Central division title is heating up. We'll be in attendance as the first place Milwaukee Brewers host the free-falling Pittsburgh Pirates this afternoon and shoot for a series sweep. Currently, the Brewers hold a 5-game lead over the second place St. Louis Cardinals.

This afternoon the Pirates will send Charlie Morton (9-6, 3.56 ERA) to the hill. He currently has a 17-inning scoreless streak intact. The Brewers will counter with Shaun Marcum (10-3, 3.62 ERA). He's recorded wins during his last three decisions.

Oh yeah, today is also Craig Counsell Bobble Head Day at Miller Park. In addition, it's German Heritage Day. In honor of that day, the Brewers will don special "Bierbrauers" uniforms. For a sneak peek, take a look at this video. Zack Greinke accidentally wore the wrong jersey on Saturday night.
