Blackhawks vs. Rangers

Tonight, we are headed to the United Center to watch the Chicago Blackhawks play host to the New York Rangers. This is for our nephew's Christmas adventure. We were there in early November to close out last year's adventures with a different nephew.

The Blackhawks currently find themselves in fourth place in the Western Conference's Central Division. After 68 games, they are trailing the St. Louis Blues, Detroit Red Wings, and Nashville Predators. In terms of the playoff picture, they are in sixth place in the conference. The New York Rangers currently sit atop their division and conference. With 42 wins, they lead the Eastern Conference's Atlantic Division, and are the top seeded team in the east overall.

According to the Blackhawks' injury report, there is still no timetable for Jonathon Toews' return. He remains listed with the ever vague "upper body" injury. Everyone knows perfectly well that he suffered a concussion a few weeks ago. He skated in practice on Thursday, but more than likely will not play tonight.
