A quick survey - Part IV

As the Elmhurst College yearbook adviser, my staff frequently develops surveys to distribute to students. Some are serious, some are not. As promised the other day, here is question number four.

What was your childhood ambition?

12) I wanted to be a radio broadcaster. When I was in high school, I won a contest and got to have my own radio show for 15 minutes! That was my 15 minutes of fame, I guess!

13) An actress when I was little. In high school, I wanted to be a child psychologist. I majored in psychology, but now I am working in the magazine industry doing marketing and promotions stuff. Go figure.

14) Niki - I bet you love to talk to my eldest sister; she's getting her PhD in early childhood development (or something - i forget the actual title) - but is a lot of children psychology.

She has/works a lot with autistic children.

15) oh - I don't think I was a very ambitious child. All I can think of is when I grew up I didn't want to be fat (I blame that on my dad) and I never wanted to get divorced.

I wanted to be a happy adult. I wanted to be a wife of a very good man (who treated me like a princess -- troy, are you reading this?). I wanted to be a mother.

All the above still apply.

20) This sounds nerdy, but I wanted to be an engineer (not the train kind). Always liked playing with Legos and drawing buildings.

I did full fill my ambition partially. Worked as home plan designer and roof truss designer (computer did the engineering part) for a year. More money in computers though and you work 8-5.
