Paperwork Repetitive Stress Blues

These days, almost every form we need to complete is paperless. Some forms we can complete online and send away. Others we can download to enter text and then email to someone. Despite this technological evolution, it's still an extremely monotonous process.

Today my day consisted of: copy, paste, repeat. A portion of my morning, most of my afternoon, and about an hour at home followed that same cycle.

Ugh. At least tomorrow is Friday.

Bill, did you have to print out these reports and distribute them? By combining many tasks in software programs used by business and government many jobs that used to be in demand as recently as five years ago and that is one of the reasons for increased unemployment in the work force.

Sounds like when I had to apply for private insurance online. It was a copy paste, repeat nightmare.

Bill have you ever seen the little statue that shows a frustrated little guy sitting under a tree and looking up ator the a branch in the tree is a bird. The caption for the statue is: No job is finished until the paperwork is finished.
