My first instructional baseball book featured Joey Jay demonstrating how to pitch. Between 1953 and 1966, he played for the Milwaukee Braves, Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves. Jay, a career 99-game winner, would pitch in the 1961 World Series as a member of the Reds against the New York Yankees. Here's Jay's player profile:
