All the rain last weekend filled the Elmhurst Quarry. This place is, on average, 200 feet deep.

Dude I can't believe that thing filled up with water. It's such a massive hole. Courtney and I have driven around there several times. I wanted to find a way to get to the bottom of that hole, literally, but I never put a plan into action. Would have been rad.

You can go deep-sea diving now, Dave. :)

I work with civil engineers and they were explaining how that works. Ultimately, that water drains back into Salt Creek on a low flow basis. They estimate it will take two to three months to completely empty.
