Our garden is planted. We planted several varieties of tomatoes, basil, peas, chives, onions, cucumbers and brussels sprouts.

Nice! It looks like your chives are blooming. Are they from last year? I have some that come back year after year. I don't see a gate - how do you get in there?

Yes, they are from last year. The wire is loose enough that we can climb inside. We're both just tall enough that it isn't a problem.

What animals are you trying to keep out of your garden? It looks you are trying to keep deer and rabbits out, but I know you probably don't those varmin in Springfield.

Bean, I don't live anywhere near Springfield. I live in Elmhurst, Illinois. My house is 16 miles away from the Sears Tower. We are trying to keep rabbits, groundhogs and raccoons out of our garden.

Bill, didn't I ask you one time if Fred Lorenzen, an early NASCAR driver, wasn't from Elmhurst? I believe he drove a car sponsored by Elmhurst Ford, does this ring a bell or you too young to remember.

Yes, he did live in Elmhurst. I must admit. I was too young to remember him and I don't watch NASCAR.
