On Saturday, we traveled to central Wisconsin to pick up an old 60-drawer card catalog. This will be on display in our house just in time for Thanksgiving and our Holiday Party.

Looks like a great find. Do you plan to make it functional...what will you store in it?

This is very pretty. I have three of them and really enjoy having them. I have stored photos and art supplies in mine.

I went to college for a technical degree in library science and remember vividly typing those little cards for the drawers. I kinda miss them at times. There was something tactile about handling those little cards when looking for a book title. Computers have them beat I know but they sure were part of the library experience.

At Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow, I'm going to ask my younger nephews if they ever heard of card catalogs. I'll be curious to hear the answer.

Hey, Bill: I am going to ask you a question and you can ask them the same one. Have you ever used a Slide-Rule?
