Someone in the house is pleased her team is still in first place. The Milwaukee Brewers lost three of four games against the Chicago Cubs this week, but they still maintain a one game lead over the St. Louis Cardinals. Graphic courtesy of mlb.com.

For your wife's sake I will pull for Milwaukee to win the Central Division! Let's face it, the Cubs aren't going to win it - and to be a Cubs fan means you are against the Cardinals so one doesn't want them winning the division. Cincinnati and Pittsburgh are very much in it - should be an exciting division to follow as the season progresses. Go Milwaukee!!!!

Right now, the Cardinals and Royals are tied. In Boston, the Red Sox are pounding the Brewers.

I didn't think the Cubs would be good this year, but I hoped they would be close to .500.

Same here. I didn't think the postseason was a realistic goal, but I never would have guessed they would be this bad.
