Sorry for the Interruption

We apologize for any downtime you might have experienced on the site in the past two weeks. We've been hard at work on Humzoo Video and on occasion we've had to reboot the server for installs or to test things. We've done our absolute best to keep the reboots to a minimum and during off hours. However, there have been times when it was unavoidable.

The good news is that it was us and not the server going down. Our new hosting company is solid as a rock. We could not be happier with our new setup, which will allow us to grow the site and take on more members, so invite your friends to come join Humzoo.

Humzoo Video is just around the corner. The progress made over the past couple weeks has been very exciting. We can't wait to show you what we've got in store. Get your video camera out of the closet, wipe the dust off. Go ahead and make a few movies, it's almost show time on Humzoo.

1) Guess that explains the "off" times when I've thought it was my connection acting up (though I realized other websites seemed fine). :) I thought maybe it was some growth-pains--glad to know it was just sneaky reboots (like I did to my primary Notes server this AM...shhhh) Can't wait to see all the innovations from D&D!! We can put up with some interruptions for all that is coming. Woo-hoo!

2) Do you guys mind if I ask who your web host is? Did you move away from LinkSky, Dave? I've been pretty happy with them ever since you recommended them to me, and, in fact, I got my boss to let me move our main site at work over to LinkSky a couple weeks ago. I've been really happy with them. I'll also warn everybody out there to avoid IPower hosting like the plague. They are completely terrible.

3) I think they're hosting all of this from a cluster of Apple Newtons.

Dave is a certified genius with duct tape.

4) Moobi - we use Slicehost for Humzoo. We used GoDaddy until last month, but Slicehost is rad. I still host my freelance clients' sites with LinkSky. I used to having nothing bad to say about them, but a few times lately I have been disappointed with their services and their response to persistent problems. No host is perfect, and so far I have not moved any client sites from their servers.
