Share Files in Blogs We're excited to announce a new feature that we've added to blogs. Everyone now has the ability to upload and share files within blogs. The process works very much like uploading a blog photo. In fact, you can upload files using the same form in the blog editor. To view your files click the new tab titled "Files" above the blog photo pane.
To add an uploaded file to a blog click on the file name you wish to include in your blog and a new file tag (eg. [File:012]) will be placed in your blog. Feel free to move the tag around for better placement of the file with the blog.
It's also possible to give your file a display name, which overrides the file name when displayed in a blog. For instance, if you had a file named awezome_fotos_of_catz-n-stufz.doc and wanted it to appear in a more professional manner in your blog, you could add a display name of something like "Awesome Photos Of Cats".Files appear in blogs as links with a small document type icon next them, based on the type of document. You can include them within a paragraph or set them free and place them on their own. Visitors will be able to download the file by clicking the link. It's just that easy.
For now we've kept things simple, allowing the following file types; doc, docx, pdf and mp3. We're open to expanding the list of accepted file types. Please let us know if there are any that you can't live without. As always, feedback is welcome. Thanks for your support!
