Early Voting Rocks

Pegi and I just did our early voting thing. It beats the heck out of waiting in line on election day. In NC, anyone over 21 can register and vote during early voting, or you can change your address and vote, but only until May 3. After then, you have to wait until the Real Election Day, May 6, and then you can't register or change your address. All you can do is wait in line and vote.
I voted for the elitist, inexperienced, not-very-black guy. The experienced white guy we've had for the past seven years has not impressed me too much.
North Carolinians: Zero excuses for not voting in the primary.

1) HAHA Awesome Bob! Hope you are feeling better! I didn't know about the registering at early voting? Thanks for sharing.

2) I'm curious why only people over 21 can register for early voting?

3) Sally: It's because early voting in North Carolina is sponsored by Schlitz fine liquor. Everyone who registers gets a free and mostly unused 12-pack sent via mail.

Bob: I do support everyone's right to vote, but maybe you could have picked a better candidate. I mean, Michael Jackson? Really?

4) Way to go Bob. The places near us in Mecklenburg don't open up for early voting for another week. I have already marked my calendar to go one night after work!

5) We are on the permanent absentee list here. So we always vote by mail, and we can do it weeks in advance. I love it!

6) One problem I have identified with early voting -- I haven't really gotten all my information on state and local candidates for office. My fault, but a consideration...

7) Some day we'll all be able to vote at home on our computer.

8) May 6 will probably be the day we'll know the Democratic nominee. All eyes on North Carolina!

9) Sally, I'm sorry about not being more specific, re: age required to register. Dave's on the mark with that one: 21 or over and you get free white likker when you vote, 18-21 just get free condoms.
