My Birthday
This weekend was filled with birthdays... Halle's on Friday, my mother's on Saturday, and mine on Sunday. We kicked the weekend off at the sweet corn festival. I'm kind of addicted to sweet corn, I ate 6 ears Friday night.. I had a belly ache too. Next year 4 will be my limit, 5 tops. We attempted to see Batman friday night, I didn't realize it was opening night, we didn't have a chance to get in without purchasing the tickets in advance. We decided to see Hellboy II, I didn't see the first one but I still sat through it since Brian wanted to see it. (I figured it would buy me a chance to see a chick flick in the future.) On Saturday we worked on my house, we are still getting it ready to put it on the market. That night we went to see Batman with my sister Monica and Andy, this time we bought the tickets in advanced. I was so happy we went to see it, I loved Batman Begins and I couldn't wait for the Dark Knight. I LOVED IT, it was soooo good!! On Sunday, I had a very nice birthday. The day started off with Brian giving me tips on Guitar Hero and I actually got through a whole song without getting booed off stage. (A couple of weeks ago I tried 5 times but failed every time.) Probably the funniest part of my day was when my mom called to wish me a happy birthday. She has perfect timing, right in the middle of me finally getting it on Guitar Hero and I was of course on a hot streak. Brian answered the phone and told her I was playing Guitar Hero and I would be right there. When I answered the phone my mom said, I didn't know you played the guitar. I was like, Nooooo mom, it's a video game- not the real thing.
Brian gave me an awesome printer and a book for the series I am reading (and hooked on it.) I will get a lot of use out of the printer in the next couple of weeks. I need to print invitations to my sister's bridal shower and bachelorette party coming up.
Brian's parents grilled steaks & sweet corn, with potatoes and green beans fresh from their garden- it was so wonderful. They also gave me a book for my series and a necklace, I have a lot of reading to do, but i'm not going to rush it. Brian's dad had this put on the grain elevator
I was so tickled. We noticed it when we were driving back to the house, I said 'Heey, that's me!' :) That evening we took the girls and met my parents, Monica and Andy for dinner at Mariah's. It was a very nice dinner, my mom surprised me with a gift bag of Chanel No. 5 perfume. I like Chanel perfume, but it's too expensive to buy for myself. The girls gave me a whole bunch of stuff that I was very surprised about. They gave me a hummingbird feeder, which I had mentioned weeks ago that I wanted to get one some day but I was going to wait. I didn't mention anything about it when people asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I was very tickled that they got that for me, it was so nice they are so thoughtful- they get that from their dad. Today I received a package from Betsy.
I about peed my pants when I was looking through my gifts from her.
Aweeeee yeah!! Look at those huge buttons.
The magazines were hilarious- I had fun showing the girls who I had a crush on when I was their age.
NKOTB here we come!!
I had a great birthday, thanks everyone!!
