Vacation
Brian and I took the girls on a little vacation to St Louis Thursday - Saturday. We had a great time. We started the trip at Six Flags on Thursday. On Friday we went on the Meramec Cave tour, afterwards we rented a raft and went on a six mile rafting trip. That evening we ate a Joe's Crab shack where I ate crab legs for the first time (now I am in love with snow crab legs) On Saturday we ended the vacation with a visit to the St Louis City Museum. We had awesome weather, except the random thunderstorm when we were at Six Flags, but we had perfect weather for the rafting trip.
Thursday...
Halle rode her first roller coaster, the Mine Train. While we were riding it Brian asked Halle how she was doing she responded with 'I'm not going to lie, I'm a little scared!' Brian and I were able to switch off riding the bigger roller coasters with the Lexi and Taylor while the other took Halle on smaller rides that she was comfortable on. There were rides we were all able to ride on together, like Thunder River and the Log Flume, which turned out to be Halle's favorite ride.
Lexi rode with Halle on the Taz Twister

While Brian took Lexi and Taylor on the Boss I rode the merry-go-round with Halle. I altered this photo a couple of times..

This one is my first attempt at black/white and color alteration.

We didn't get many photos at Six Flags because we were busy getting rides in, but we did take a few photos while we were shopping.

Lexi with Wonder Woman

Brian starting a fight with Batman, I'm not sure if that is a wise thing to do...

Saturday...
Today we went to the City Museum before heading back. The museum was made by artists from things around the City of St Louis. It was amazing, I had wished that I was a kid again so I could crawl around and go down all of the cool slides. I found out today that I am claustrophobic. We were going through a small, tight area and I about freaked out. I thought my heart was going to pound through my chest for about 5 minutes afterwards. But, it was still an awesome place, I would strongly recommend to visit the museum if you are in the St Louis area.

The view looking up from the caves

A different perspective of that view...

The play area outside- yes that is a plane, and yes they are crawling into it

The girls getting ready to go play

Brian talked to a worker about where to eat in the area. She suggested a few places and mentioned there was a new pizza place that she hadn't been to yet. We decided to give that a try and it was really good. We were able to watch them make the pizza for us. The guy that was making it did a few tricks for the girls with the dough.

I had a great time with Brian and the girls. I look forward to our next trip

p.s. I loved the Log Flume when I was a kid. I used to make my dad go on it over and over.
Angi, We were actually on the Meremac River. It was very slow moving but it was perfect for taking the kids for the first rafting trip.
