re: Missing My Betsy
I remember that story too, Dannie--she was so funny, so full of life, I felt like I knew her in real life because of the way she wrote--honestly, with humor.
Joe, I'm so sorry for your loss. I honestly can't imagine what you are going through right now, and I wish you…11 minutes ago
re: Missing My Betsy
I had to go back and check but it was 2008 when she was writing about the "midnight craper" her war on the folks letting their dogs take a dump by the door of her apartment. It was so funny yet so relateable-I knew we would be great friends if we ever met in person. 20 minutes ago
re: Missing My Betsy
Oh thank you Joe for sharing this with us. Its such a sad time but you know that we all were so happy when Betsy told us your happy news. Every time I see the Rosie the Riveter picture I will smile and think of Betsy. I hope in time that the memory of the good times will…33 minutes ago

You're so sweet, Sarah. Both of you.
I love you kids and look forward to continuing to watch you grow and love together.
You have a blessed relationship. That's something to hang on to during the rough times -- and thoroughly enjoy during the good times. 1 hour ago

Joe, It's hard to know what to say.
I'm so sorry. For you. For Betsy's family. For Betsy's friends (and there must be SOOO many of them). For us, Betsy's humzoo family.
She was a positive force in this world. And God knows we need all the positive forces we can…1 hour ago

My deep sympathy to you, Chris. I know you and Betsy had a special bond and I can't imagine the pain you're feeling. Without her here it will never be quite the same, never quite as happy. I'm thinking about you. Thank goodness we have part of Betsy here on Humzoo so we don't…

re: Garage Sale
gotcha. I had a smoothie maker that was still in it's packaging that went for $10. A Creme Brulee set that was obviously never even opened that went for $4. I sold my bike for $15--excellent condition.
I may hold onto those things worth more and do Craigslist. We are…11 hours ago
Nancy that's the perfect description of Betsy. I've enjoyed an hour or so going through her videos and pics here on Humzoo. She was a big part in a lot of people's lives. She is deeply missed.

re: Garage Sale
Garage sales are tricky...people are on the hunt for bargains. Something that is worth a lot lot more will go for a tiny fraction of what you paid for it, or what you think it's worth--just the nature of the beast. In our area it seems Fridays are ALWAYS better sale days…17 hours ago

Congratulations Ashley and Richie! Another blessing in the making. 18 hours ago
To all of you who didn't know her, she was all the things you thought she was and much more. That's why it's so tragic and hard for us who knew her to accept. She was so vital, so extraordinary, so vibrant. This is a terrible loss for our world.
