Spring Fever

I've got it bad. I hate winter. Hate, hate, hate it. I hate most of the weather in Central IL. Our temperatures fluctuate almost as much as the gas prices. And don't even talk to me about the wind. Ethan asked if we could turn it off the other day. And I was all, that's the best idea ever! But clearly he was very misguided, so we immediately borrowed several books from the library to teach him about wind. He has a pop quiz at the end of the week.

My fever got worse when I found out we're going to North Carolina next month! It's about freakin time Denny and Dave meet each other in person. Do you think it will be love at first sight? Or love at first site? That is such a terrible pun. I have spent too much time around Andrew.

I need some spring clothes, but I just can't figure out how many terry cloth jumpsuits I'm going to need for my trip. Dave thinks five.

1) Make sure you teach Ethan how to break wind. That is the golden ticket to life!

We can't wait to finally meet you guys! Unfortunately though we are not going to be in town that weekend. We're planning to just leave a key under the mat though. Make yourselves at home, there is plenty of Mt Dew in the fridge and I will leave some instructions for working the TV. That universal remote can really be overwhelming at first, let me tell ya.

You'll be happy to know that it is 64F today. Absolutely beautiful! I am holding out just a little longer for consistent warmth before I get back on the bike but that is only a week or two away. Sweet!

Only about a month away and its going to be even warmer then! Definitely love at first site, that is awesome! (nice one Andrew)

2) Is the Andrew of the pun reference the eyepulp one? Cause that's just the lame sort of joke he would make. I want to stow away in your trunk when you go to NC. That state's got everything...except an MLB team. Maybe Humzoo could sponsor one?

3) I am not a huge baseball fan (but I do like beer and hot dogs) but I know Dave would probably want to buy a team one day if Humzoo went Hollywood. After our jet of course. I really want a Humzoo corporate jet. We just need a few more Humdingers. Looks like we are about a week out from ordering the jet.

4) Courtney, don't worry about the jumpsuits. Denny probably forgot to mention that we live in a nudist colony, so you can pack light.

5) OMG! LOVE the pun. You rock! Punqueen! Anyway... as for wind... I hear ya. I know, hard to feel sorry for me living on the coast and all, but we get more than our fair share of wind. And sadly, it can sometimes drive us from the beach. Sigh. But, I will try to send you some of our weather soon (and I will not taunt you by telling you today's high).

6) You guys need to choose a "Denny & Dave Meet" theme song to play when they first see each other.

Like, something by Michael Bolton.

7) Of course I meant the eyepulp Andrew. He makes the worst jokes of anyone I know. Christi, I used to check the weather in CA frequently. Then, I decided it would be better for my mental health to stop doing that.

8) I was just thinking that when you guys come here that we should just sit in different rooms and communicate via Humzoo and ichat for the first few hours just to get warmed up. I mean the awesomeness of Denny & Dave meeting for the first time may be a wee bit overwhelming.

And the theme song should totally be "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey for when the Humdingers meet up (it's a classic).

9) If you guys keep building this "moment" up Dave is going to back out all together. I just know it. I do like the idea of sitting in different rooms at first though. Dave and Courtney can sit on a couple 5-gallon buckets in the garage (yes the wireless works out there just fine) and Niki and I can sit on the couches in the living room. Talk about Southern hospitality! We really know how to pour it on!
