Live-Blogging Wedding Photography I'm photographing a wedding right now. It starts at 2:00. I've already taken some group photos and am currently in a holding pattern.
There is no flash photography allow during the ceremony, and I have to hang out in back and not wander around. Good thing I have a tripod!
Anyway, I know this is enthralling. I cannot promise many updates, but we'll see what happens. Is it wrong to blog during the ceremony?

1) Guests are starting to arrive. I am also following the Cubs game thanks to MLB's mobile live pitch-by-pitch coverage. Go Cubbies!

2) No flash photography? Why do they have rules like this? I hope my last five dollars bought you a nice lunch.

3) I was thinking the same thing... no flash photography? no wandering around? How bizarre.

19) Your little boy is horribly sad. He cried and cried after his nap when I told him it would be a long time before you came home.

25) The bridal party showed up before anyone else, and we're still waiting for others to get here. Not sure what happened to all the guests though. Maybe they all stopped by my parents' house. Hope they know to jiggle the handle.

26) I told you not to mention that, Dave!!!!

27) They are finally starting to eat. There are 9 packed tables and no spots left over for a lonely photographer :( Good thing I had a snack at my parents' house. I think that I am stuck in the neverending wedding. It has been 6.5 hours so far with no end in sight. Prolly won't get out off here till 9:00. Note to self: do not aspire to become a professional wedding photographer.

28) I just snuck a piece of cake. It will suffice for dinner. Things are moving along incredibly slow. I know a few people here, but it's hard to socialize when you're the photographer. I miss my kids and am sad that I don't get to tuck them in tonight.
Dave Heinzel Saturday, August 2, 2008
29) I ran out of patience, so both kids are in bed. Although, I am pretty sure they're both still awake. They would have been up later, but we had to leave the park early. A couple of hooligans showed up with some sort of gun that shot something other than water. Dude and they were so shifty eyed. And right before we left, a cop drove by the park, and the guy with the gun hid it between his legs.

30) All done and heading home. I'm told there's a little boy waiting for me.
Dave Heinzel Saturday, August 2, 2008
31) Let's hope it isn't the one with the gun. Hope you find something better to eat than cake (even if it does taste like Humzoo) and I know everyone will be happy to have you home. Long day!

32) Glad you're heading home, Dave. I know they will all be glad to see you.
