46) Raining a bit now. Have to go slower. Construction ahead. 10 miles away. Low on fuel.Dave HeinzelFriday, April 11, 2008

58) Why are you guys heading out to NC? Is it time for our family reunion at the Outer Banks? Why didn't I get invited this year? :((((SallyPantsFriday, April 11, 2008
59) Soundchick, Huntersville, NC (just North of Charlotte).nikiFriday, April 11, 2008
60) Sally, Denny bought you a six-pack of Highland Gaelic last night at the store. You owe us $8.99, plus tax and a processing fee. Thanks! You should have come to visit too. I would love to meet the funniest Heinzel!nikiFriday, April 11, 2008
61) leaving Louisville now. Thanks for lunch Betsy! We love you!Dave HeinzelFriday, April 11, 2008

63) Niki: randy is in Philadelphia. He might be funnier! We'll pass along your booze invoice.Courtney HeinzelFriday, April 11, 2008
64) Destination update: its 83F, hot as hell here today. I hope you guys brought shorts. I just got back from a specialty beer store in Charlotte and my kegerator is in full swing again. I am drinking a Highland Gaelic from the tap right now. Dave/Courtney, hopefully you'll get here before I pass out, this stuff is awesome. If not, I'll meet you in the morning for sure. Niki will let you in, unless of course she gets into the 'sauce' after work.
I HOPE its like this tomorrow for the Humzoo Rad Party, you don't understand how beautiful it is in NC today. Frickin insane people, frickin insane beauty of weathers.

Oh Sally, I am so crashing your family beach week this year. Don't even try to stop me.Denny DeatonFriday, April 11, 2008
68) This is stuff for the movies. I love it! Can't wait to see the "poop dance" by Courtney! Jealous of the hot as hell 83 degree weather you're approaching. We may see snow tonight and tomorrow.

71) I wonder if Humzoo will be dead tomorrow night.... won't everyone be at the party????WillnBek.comFriday, April 11, 2008
72) We'll post some photos tonight for sure folks. If you had plans then go ahead and cancel them. It won't be any kind of crazy live stream or anything, or maybe it will, but we'll definitely capture the moment. I am sure Dave will come to the door strapped with all kinds of photography and video equipment, and I think his van actually sends back a feed to his local TV20 so it should be on the local news in Springfield at 11.Denny DeatonFriday, April 11, 2008
73) This is a riot!
I'm afraid Bob will not be joining you tomorrow. He's feeling lousy, down with a nasty head cold. Sucks being old. In his younger years he'd be there anyway. That wouldn't be so good for everyone else, though, so he's keeping his germs here. I am washing my hands a lot and drinking emergen-C and taking zinc lozenges (yuck) and hope to stay healthy so I can see you all tomorrow.
Safe travels.pegiFriday, April 11, 2008
74) Will, we have a computer set up for you. You will be running Humzoo for most of the party. That is actually why we invited you. Let me know when you arrive so I can grant you access to the terminal and get you going.Denny DeatonFriday, April 11, 2008
76) What? NOOOOOOOOO!! Bob has to come. I love Bob. This breaks my heart. Bob turn it around baby! Come hang around a bunch of youngin's that will make you feel better. I also have some tasty beer for you that will wash your sickness away.Denny DeatonFriday, April 11, 2008
77) OK, everyone must send a s-load of energy Bob's way. Maybe he will turn this thing around!pegiFriday, April 11, 2008
78) maybe it's the pollen? have any local honey?SpikeFriday, April 11, 2008
79) does pollen cause body aches?pegiFriday, April 11, 2008
80) We don't have pollen here, he should be just fine. We also have local honey, or we can get some at the Bradford store. Its made by bees in Davidson. Bob has to turn this around, otherwise we will reschedule the party.Denny DeatonFriday, April 11, 2008
81) no...no body aches :( that is a coldSpikeFriday, April 11, 2008
82) As long as my station comes with a cooler.... no problem. I'm really not that socialable anyway.WillnBek.comFriday, April 11, 2008
83) On I-75 south now, just passed Lexington. Rainy and very windy. No eta yet.Dave HeinzelFriday, April 11, 2008
84) I hate to disappoint the Humzoo community, but, the cheapness of my $20 webcam from Radio Shack is coming around to bite me in the ass. When it's sunny outside, the exposure on the camera is so blown out that it's just a blank white screen. So Courtney's poop dance was not caught on film... However, Dave's trusty camera was there to save the day!
Thanks for stopping in Lewisville, Heinzels! It was awesome to see you! Drive safe and have an awesome weekend! Enjoy the NC frickin insane beauty of weathers!BetsyFriday, April 11, 2008
85) Destination Update: Someone just called me from Dress Barn, wrong number. I should have answered the phone as Fashion Bug.
Dave according to Google Maps you are about 6.5 hours from us.Denny DeatonFriday, April 11, 2008
86) Denny and Niki- you guys are my heroes! Thanks for the Highland in advance. I'm sending a gift for you guys via Dave & Courtney. I hope it goes a long way to burying some of the bad feelings from the "War Between the States." I totally expect second-by-second updates this weekend. Maybe Denny & Dave won't actually see each other since they'll be talking to each other over their computers from across the room. You guys totally have to come to the Outer Banks this summer. I think somehow you qualify as family now anyway. It's a rite of passage. I'm sending good vibes to Uncle Bob so he can party Humzoo-style with you all tomorrow!SallyPantsFriday, April 11, 2008
87) We'll let you slide on the war Sally. If I see Dave this weekend I'll give him your beer for sure. If anything I'll just put it in their car. I will also stress the importance of keeping them cooled down during the trip. If I compare them to Mt Dew then Dave will understand the necessity of refrigeration for sure. Either way Courtney seems very responsible so I am sure she could take over if necessary.
When is the Outer Banks trip and how much are you willing to pay us?Denny DeatonFriday, April 11, 2008
88) We just stopped for gas in the middle of what looks like nowhere to me, but this gas station totally has fast internets. And they can fax. How's that for service?Courtney HeinzelFriday, April 11, 2008
89) Dang! That's better than most of the Hucks here in B-town, who CLAIM to have the Internets, but it's down most of the time I guess. Safe travels, Heinzels!!AngiFriday, April 11, 2008
90) Dave says we're in London. I said, "That's the wrong country." Apparently there's a London, KY?Courtney HeinzelFriday, April 11, 2008
91) In honor of Andrew, I am eating some chocolate frosted donettes. mmm....Courtney HeinzelFriday, April 11, 2008
92) We just stopped at a gas station in London, KY for snag. It has been raining like crazy. Very hard to drive and take pics and surf the web all at the same time. Someone else can figure our ETA, I'm too lazy to do the math now. We probably won't get to Huntersville until way after dark though. Sorry dudes!Dave HeinzelFriday, April 11, 2008
93) Snags are awesome. Stupid iPhone correction.Courtney HeinzelFriday, April 11, 2008
94) 326 miles to Huntersville. Google Maps says 5 hours 29 minutes. Can you tell I'm not really busy at work today?soundchickFriday, April 11, 2008
95) Chiterlings. Disgusting poo infested pig intestines. They are quite good with some of Jason's sauce drizzled over them though.mattpikeFriday, April 11, 2008
96) Denny, my Gaelic is floating...it's been a long week..or 4 days. Yikes! Should I pick another up for tomorrow? I am also happy to chip in on yours, but I will need a refill asap anyway. What else did they have? Any Foothills?mattpikeFriday, April 11, 2008
97) What? No Moonpies or Grape NeHi??AngiFriday, April 11, 2008
98) Now you're talking, Angi!!!Friday, April 11, 2008
99) I've just finished reading all of the comments from the start...Zzzzzz...Ha Ha! I'm rooting for you. Throw on a picture when you arrive! This is reality at it's best. I think they'll make a movie. I can see Jim Carey as Dave and Robin Williams a Denny. Hmmmm...I'll have to think about who will play Courtney and Nikki. Any ideas?LeslieFriday, April 11, 2008
100) You had to stop for gas AGAIN? Dang, that Louisville gas burns quick!BetsyFriday, April 11, 2008
101) Matt, Either way is totally fine. They had about 5 Foothills kegs and they all tasted great. I usually test kegs by licking the side. You should totally get one and bring it up for the party!Denny DeatonFriday, April 11, 2008
102) we're up in some mountains somewhere now. Getting close to Knoxville. Still raining. Thanks for the kid updates mom. We miss them already!Dave HeinzelFriday, April 11, 2008
103) Kid update: They had a great nap - and so did I!! - and seem fine. Mia's diaper was diarrhea-like but she's acting OK. Supper very soon. We'll dine in tonight since it's very cold and windy outside and I"m not sure about Mia. Take it easy through the mountains, Dave. You're getting there!!Friday, April 11, 2008
104) 15 miles to Knoxville. Pouring.Dave HeinzelFriday, April 11, 2008
105) You're probably on I-40 by now!!Friday, April 11, 2008
106) Be careful in the nasty weather.
Leslie, I think that is so funny that you picked Robin Williams for Denny.nikiFriday, April 11, 2008
107) Robin is kinda old for the part but they do wonders with make up. I think Charlize Theron will play you. Since I saw the pictures of Courtney dancing I have decided she needs an actress who is wild child... maybe Courtney Love? That is if she's out of rehab.LeslieFriday, April 11, 2008
108) We're on I-40, milepost 412. Not sure how far we are from NC.Dave HeinzelFriday, April 11, 2008

110) D & C, it is not raining here, so maybe you will be out of it soon. Asheville is 2 hours from our house, so I am guessing you will be here around 11pm. That is a long day. Are you sure the drive is worth meeting us? Oh, what am I saying of course it is.nikiFriday, April 11, 2008
111) That string of comments has to be a record on a Humzoo blog!LGrantFriday, April 11, 2008
112) Kid update: Mia is in bed (6:50 pm). She's been rubbing her eyes for an hour. Didn't want any supper, not even milk. Has diarrhea. Poor baby. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. Ethan is turning into another Beethoven. He can play the whole song of Twinkle, Twinkle!! He's been a delight.
You're in some very scenic country right now. Too bad it's getting dark.!Friday, April 11, 2008

134) I believe that I know who the ones named Nancy and Bob are. You must forget that they were raised in the South and Nancy transplanted herself back to the North. Clarence P Hawkins Tuesday, April 29, 2008
135) Clarence, how do you know Nancy and Bob?!Tuesday, April 29, 2008
136) Nancy and I dated while she and I were in college, she at UNC-G and UNC-CH ( I hate to have to have to type that name, believe me) in the early 1960s. Her brother Bob entered NCState University, where I was also a student in the Fall of 1962. Nancy claims that she is a Tarheel fan and her favorite player is Michael Jordan; however, I would like to add that my favorite all-time baskeetball is David Thompson.
Nancy was studying French at UNC, while I beating my brains out studying Aeronautical Engineering at NCSU; consequently, I didn't succeed then but I later majored in Business Economics and was able to make a good liviing until major companies moved manufacturing operations off shore. Clarence P Hawkins Wednesday, April 30, 2008
137) Clarence, how did you get to Humzoo?? Do you still live in North Carolina?!Wednesday, April 30, 2008
138) Yes, I do still live in North Carolina. However, during my corporate working days, I lived in Farmville, VA. for 9+ years(That was the thrill of my life,HA,HA). I have been priviledged to live here when everybody that lost their jobs to industry displacing jobs, plus people wanting to retire here. I still live where Nancy knew I lived. I live in Johnston County, NC, where we still make moonshine and every other type of party beverage is available. I was a criminal at one time, because I owned a tobacco farm and a lot of people thought I was a Merchant of Death. I wasn't a MOD, I was just a working guy that owned a farm and wanted Maxiumum Profit from it.
I used Google to search for certain information that I hadn't found after I was able to find Nancy's in the Alumni Directory from Liberalville (CH).
An acquaintance of mine, let see it when he got it in the mail.
Does Nancy still smoke, because I know she used to and I didn't and it has concerned me over the years. Clarence P Hawkins Wednesday, April 30, 2008
139) Clarence, why should you be concerned?!Wednesday, April 30, 2008
140) Because I have seen so many people that I have cared about die from smoking. The thing that people don't realize is that the tobacco companies didn't make them smoke it was an individual choice; consequently, because of the choices they made I was able to make a good income supplement for many years. 141) Note: hillary and obama are attending a big democratic event in the North Carolina Livestock Arena (J.S. Dorton Arena) on the NC State Fairgrounds, consequently, I think that that is a good place for both of them. My daughter works for Wal-Mart and got to shake Jimmy "Peanut" Carter's hand earlier today. I told to wash her hands in scalding water so I wouldn't have to be touched by it. When your political beliefs are to the right of Ann Coulter and just a little bit beyond Sean Hannity I don't anything to do with Carter. Clarence P Hawkins Friday, May 2, 2008
143) Yo P. Hawk,
Where do you stand on this Nixon "watergate" thing? I mean if you ask me they're really blowing things out of proportion. 'Bout time we started focusing on the real problems.
BTW which side on you on? I gotta know.
Sammy Hagar,
David Lee Roth, or
Gary Cherone. Don't drag me along dude.JoeFriday, May 2, 2008
144) Nixon deserved what he got because the 'WATERGATEBUCK" STOPPED WITH HIM; however, what killed him was the arrogance displayed by he and his staff. In all probability there was nothing very important in the Watergate offices. Lyndon Johnson and "W" wouldn't leave anything of importance because they would take it to the ranch. 145) When you come to NC for your family reunion this summer, gasoline will probably be $4.00/gallon on the Interstatates and probably more in towns. If you didn't know, NC has almost a $.33 cent/gallon Sales Tax on gasoline, and build decent roads, without losing tax dollars hand over fist because we have have democratic party government for 30+years.
However, most north carolinians are stupid, because will elect Republican Presidents and Dumb A-- Democrats to state offices. Clarence P Hawkins Sunday, May 4, 2008
146) I hate to be the one to say this, but it is considered bad manners to drop in on someone else's blog and bring up unrelated items. You definitely have a lot of things to say. So, I really think you should sign up for your own account. That way, you don't have to hijack other people's blogs. It's free!Courtney HeinzelSunday, May 4, 2008
147) Excellent suggestion, Courtney. Can't ever have too many humzooer accounts.pegiSunday, May 4, 2008
Give me your route like Denny did so I can stalk you! Are you coming through Kentucky?
Call me when you get close to Louisville. I will totally buy lunch!
It's raining like a Mo-Fo here though, so be careful.
You're making excellent time, if I might add.
Niki: we'll pick up a case of pork rinds and some chitlins (?).
Don't Worry Heinzels... I would load the Freedom Van down with good ole southern treats for you.
I have two really great options for lunch:
1. A really cute restaurant that has kick-A salads, and you get a muffin with every meal
2. My house, where I think I have some lunchmeat and a half a bag of sunchips.
Can't wait to see the van Will! Rad.
Just crossed into Indiana. At the 8 milepost.
Here's the address of the restaurant if you want to Google it:
615 S Hurstbourne Pkwy, Louisville, KY 40222
I am now craving their food, so I think we'll go there. But you can still see my house if you want. I live right there :)
Take exit 15 to merge onto S Hurstbourne Pkwy/KY-1747 N toward Middletown

I HOPE its like this tomorrow for the Humzoo Rad Party, you don't understand how beautiful it is in NC today. Frickin insane people, frickin insane beauty of weathers.
Ok, back to work.
Oh Sally, I am so crashing your family beach week this year. Don't even try to stop me.
Download pictures as soon as you can!
Safe travels.
Thanks for stopping in Lewisville, Heinzels! It was awesome to see you! Drive safe and have an awesome weekend! Enjoy the NC frickin insane beauty of weathers!
Dave according to Google Maps you are about 6.5 hours from us.
When is the Outer Banks trip and how much are you willing to pay us?
Leslie, I think that is so funny that you picked Robin Williams for Denny.
You're in some very scenic country right now. Too bad it's getting dark.
Dave and Courtney, get there safely and have a great time!! Nice job driving all that way, Dave!! Denny and Niki, are you sure you're ready for this????? Have fun, guys. I've sure enjoyed all the posts today! Huntersville, here they come!!!!

Nancy was studying French at UNC, while I beating my brains out studying Aeronautical Engineering at NCSU; consequently, I didn't succeed then but I later majored in Business Economics and was able to make a good liviing until major companies moved manufacturing operations off shore.
