See that - the lights are on! It's a miracle. At first only one turned on (the left one), and I traced it back to a connection that came loose. The stupid wires coming from the lights are the frayed, twisty kind and don't like to marry up to their solid copper counterparts inside wire nuts. I bullied it into place for good, and it's working like a champ now.
