My drive this morning was relatively uneventful, but I decided to take some photos anyway. My poor still camera has been neglected lately.

Is that where the phrase stick-er shock comes from? He looks mean.

He must get cold in the winter, KT. LOL

The hotdog one is weird. The MW seems to be fascinated with big statues like that. There is a big chicken one above Duluth on the main road. I forget the little town's name. And of course the inevitable Paul Bunyan & Blue Babe.

I was just going to say that, but I couldn't remember where along I-55 it was. I just knew I saw it every time I went to St. Louis

Here is a picture of me with Paul Bunyan, when I went to Maine with my friend a couple of summers ago. http://www.humzoo.com/tanya/photos/12/4/

I think Bunyan is just an alias, Dave. His real name is Lauterbach. He's probably just a wanted man in that state.

It's the Muffler Man! There's a bunch of them in Illinois, mostly along Route 66, I think. "Weird Illinois" wrote about them. They were all originally holding mufflers for their company, but they were sold and altered for new businesses. This poor guy had his head taken off by a tornado.
