I completely disassembled my dolly and fixed it up quite a bit. It was too large to fit through doorways. I just made it the size of a scrap piece of plywood I had sitting around, and I neglected to cut it down first. That's all fixed now. It's 28 inches wide and about three feet in length. There is just barely enough room for a tripod plus camera operator on the platform, which is the goal.
I still have not assembled a handle for it, but I have a few pieces of wood cut to size and ready to go.
Another thing I am going to add is ties for the tracks to sit on. I have a ton of scrap 2x4 pieces lying around that can be cut to a little wider than the tracks. They will need a couple small pieces of wood risers on them to cradle the tracks just right. Those will help give the tracks a good foundation when on uneven surfaces and will help keep the tracks the correct distance apart.

Some day this dolly will be in the Filmaker's Hall of Fame and we will know its early beginnings. Very cool!!
