1) Awesome video Dave! I felt like I was there. If there is any pizza leftover please email it to me. I don't have anything to eat for lunch today.

4) Great video Dave! We had a great time last night, thanks so much.

They were commenting on my texting last night, so Dave had to get footage. My computer broke last night, so I had to blog from my phone half the time!

I missed the dance. Is there anyway to see it again?

15) Very nice, Dave. I don't think I've ever seen so many laptops in one room in my life--other than a meeting at work. :) Everyone looks a little tired but happy. Great job to you all for making it a big night here and in Springfield! :)

16) I was thinking the same thing about the laptops. This is a very special video because I think it really shows a cross section of middle America-and yes Pegi, it is very poignant and moving.

How did you do that opening pan? SteadyCam?

20) That opening shot was processed by a Final Cut plugin called SmoothCam. It will basically try to find the intended motion path of your footage, and it will scale, rotate and reposition each frame to fit around that ideal path. This does crop down on the footage to some level, so you have to start with a wide angle and really hold it as smooth as possible. Oh and the filter takes a year and a day to process. But it does a pretty good job overall.
