Homework - Storyboard Comparison
Here is the original storyboard for Homework side by side with the finished results. Thanks to a well thought-out storyboard, the finished movie mirrors the original concept almost perfectly. I usually don't draw storyboards with much or any detail, but this time I knew it was going to be used for educational purposes, so I took some time on the drawings.

1) Fun video. How come you used just the laptop camera? I assume, it was to show your students that they can make a film with just a simple camera?

2) Awesome vids and story, Dave! It's such a cool thing to share with kids, especially when they see your passion - nice job!

3) Shoo, that's right. I didn't want them walking away with the excuse "well I can't make a movie like that because I don't have a nice camera..." Back in high school, and in my twenties as well, I kept telling myself I didn't have good enough equipment to make movies. Maybe so, but I would have gained a lot of experience making movies with sub-par cameras.

4) Very cool. Great to see them side-by-side to see how well the storyboard worked out and translated to film. How did you get the paper to do what you wanted it to do?
