The Yellow Car - Outtakes & Alternate Scenes
Working with a 3 year-old while shooting The Yellow Car was a learning experience. There were several times that I wanted to scrap the whole project. In the end, the movie turned out about as good as I could hope for. Here's a collection of footage that will show you why it almost got abandoned. I also have some alternate scenes in here that were scrapped for one reason or another.

1) Almost as much fun as the final product. The twins went through a stage that they wouldn't let me get a good shot-they would try and pose and that usually was a disaster. How is your shoulder today?

2) That's so funny. I love where Ethan is walking and lecturing to himself - or you! And that final shot of Ethan in bed sleeping, that looks like the one that worked - until Mia's hand comes in and takes the car. I got my laugh today. Thanks.

4) You should have left Mia's part in at the end. It kind of left things open for a sequel.

5) You did a great job with Ethan, I have memories of struggling just to get a still photo of my girls when they were that age. Kudos!

6) Dude, I'm sure it wasn't much fun at the time but this was hilarious to watch. I'm definitely going to be at the awards show this weekend.

12) Love the final cut, but the outtakes were very entertaining. I totally cracked up when he was saying "you're not kidding. You don't have to be kidding" He seemed like a real actor on the verge of a temper tantrum...I see Hollywood in his future!

21) Now that I have my speakers set up in the new house, I can go back and look at all of your videos! This was superb Dave. I cracked up when I saw Ethan signing that paper in slo-mo! You all did great.
