Movie Made on iPhone 4
This movie was made and edited entirely on an iPhone.

Over the past two days I took some video on the beach with my new iPhone 4. I downloaded the new iMovie app from Apple and threw together this video today while I watched the Ghana/US game. The game was a bust but the video editing went really well. The iPhone iMovie app is incredibly designed and a total delight to edit video with. I put this together in about an hour, without any knowledge of how to use iMovie on the iPhone.

One thing that I learned later in the process is that you can actually make smaller clips from longer clips in the Photos app. I ended up trimming a lot more in iMovie than I should have. Lesson learned, still it was a ton of fun and I highly recommend the app! The movie exported in 720p HD but I scaled it down a bit for the Humzoo upload, it still looks great.

gosh this looks great, I think Dylan is ready for the standing long jump in the Olympics. She looks so cute and June and Denny look so happy on the beach. Does, June like it? Niki, I hope everything was ok, at the house. Have a good time., Love, Mom

The clarity is impressive. Looks like perfect beach weather.

Great video except the sound was a little static-y or sputter-y but maybe that's my laptop. Dylan looks like she got the beach genes from Rose & Denny. Rose and Mom and Mikie are going to see a much different beach today. Dylan wouldn't be dipping toes in this cold stuff! Dylan looks like she is having a lot of fun. June will be with her soon. I agree with Rose about the long jump--she has talent!!

The audio problem is there with me as well. I think it is probably an encoding issue and not with the actual production. This looks really nice. Amazing the power they are putting in the palm of your hand. Great job!

Fantastic video, really made me smile. I just had a holiday with my 2 kids and we were at the beach. This has convinced me to get an iPhone 4 rather than a dedicated video camera. (I also get a static spluttering problem with the audio when watching this video.)

Thanks, Angus. Enjoy your new iPhone!

We're aware of the video issue and are working to resolve it. Thanks!
