Frack I was just about to publish a blog and accidentally closed the window I was working in. Here's a 2nd try:

State Contest results: 2 judges gave us a 1- and the other gave us a 3+. The judge with the 3+ was a deaf guy from Moberly, I heard. The acoustics of the auditorium sucked rear, so that could be another reason he scored us so low. BTW, 1 is the best score.

Erica's Birthday: was Tuesday, but she was sick Monday and Tuesday, so she had a shenanigany birthday. We're celebrating tonight with dinner with a friend we haven't seen for 5 months and the Kansas City Symphony Orchestra. They're playing Gustav Holst's "The Planets." I have never heard this entire work live or on a CD, so I'm pretty excited. Also, I have the Omaha Symphony Orchestra fresh in my mind from last week's trip, so I'm eager to hear some more classical music.

My weight loss progress: is going great. I ordered another Speedo Jammer for my swim workouts. I did a shoulder weightlifting workout this morning and it hurt a lot to swim, but it was a good hurt. I'll be posting another pic this Sunday and I might start posting 2 pics a week.

Nintendo DS: thinking of buying one of these today. Found a deal on Craigslist for $150 that comes with Mario Kart, Mario 64 and Brothers in Arms. I'm also gonna purchase Brain Age 2. A lot of my band students use these on trips and I love video games, so why not?

Battlestar Galactica: From the title, if you guessed, I've started watching this TV show and I love it. I'm only 12 episodes in, so no give aways.
