My Brother
This past weekend my little brother got married. I couldn't be happier for him and his new bride, Alexandra. The weekend was filled with wonderful memories from the bachelor party I got to throw for him (I was his best man) to the rehearsal dinner to the day of the wedding.
Micah looked like an absolute stud in his tuxedo/suit. The man is just amazing! When I saw Alex, the word that came to mind was "stunning." I thought for sure Micah would start crying when he saw her, but what was awesome is that Micah almost fell apart before seeing her. When they opened the doors and he saw his bride, everything within him seemed to relax. It was as if he realized that he was complete with her in his life and everything was going to be okay.
The reception was a blast and I had the privilege of giving the best man speech. I had been practicing what I would say for a couple of weeks and I think that I did a good job. Micah and Alex left the evening as husband and wife.
For Micah's entire life he has been single and that is how I have known him. Now, he is married, which is great, but it is a new chapter of his life and one that I must get used to. It is a new experience for me to wrap my brain around this new label of Micah. I talked to my mom about it and she said the same thing happened when I got married. For me, it was natural, but for everyone else, they had to take time to get used to me having a wife. It will take time, but I am looking forward to getting used to saying that my little brother is married. I am looking forward to developing new memories with Micah and Alex.
I couldn't be more proud of my little brother, Micah. He is an amazing man and will be an amazing husband. Congratulations, Micah and Alex!
