First Practice
My first practice of footy went extremely well. Many of the guys said that I had a great practice. One of the Australians who plays asked if I have ever played before. I answered no and then he asked if I had played rugby and I said no. I told him that I've only played baseball. I feel so great about how the first practice went. We worked a lot of fundamentals tonight such as hand balling (how you pass it with your hands) and the drop kick (which is NOTHING like the punt in football). I'm picking things up quickly and the training I had with Tony helped out tremendously.

Our next practice is Sunday morning at 11 a.m. The first hour will be more fundamentals and "fun" stuff and the last hour will be more of a conditioning time. I know this sounds crazy, but I can't wait until that last hour. The guy who invited me, Wes, said I was solid. That meant a lot to me. Looking forward to another successful practice on Sunday.

Weight loss note: I'm currently 192 lbs.*

*I weighed in this morning at 190 lbs. We'll see what Monday brings.

1) Sounds like a great sport for you. And it sounds like you are enjoying it--even more important! I'm sure the weight loss will follow with all that exercise and conditioning.
