more camping
Last weekend we went camping in Memorial County Park in San Mateo. We had to drive up the coast and then turn inland and drive up the "mountains" about 10 miles. Luckily, those 10 miles were enough to keep us away from the coastal fog (and cold). We went with three other families. It was a great time. Saturday we went on a short hike to the river. The kids had a fun time playing in and around the water. Some people went back to nap. One mom and I took four kids to the "scavenger hunt" that the park had. Gareth loved it and would have done the whole thing. But he was the oldest. The three year olds were not quite as enthusiastic, but stuck it out for quite some time. Ice cream was the treat of the day. And s'mores were consumed each night. We went back to another part of the river on Sunday before we left. However, we have a TON of pictures. Sorry Humzoo, but I suspect being allowed to upload more than one at at time was a serious benefit for over 75 pics.
