Puff
While I love Puff the Magic Dragon, it is the cause of some grief in our house. I used to sing it as a bedtime song. But then Gareth got sad that little Jackie Paper left Puff and Puff got sad and his scales fell off and he never went to play along the cherry lane. I mean, Gareth got really really sad.... tears. But he loved the song. So I eventually I created a new child (can't remember the name now) who came along. And I think they ended after the kings and princes bowed.
So, Jonas got wind of the song and requested it recently. But he wanted to know when we could go see Puff. I sang the part about Honah Lee and tried to point out that Honah Lee was imaginary. But Jonas was having none of it. He was convinced that Puff was real. And now I think that he thinks I am keeping him (Jonas) from Puff.
Damn you Puff!

1) I used to have the Puff movie. I loved that, "The Point," and "The Yellow Submarine" with the Beatles. I made my parents sing songs from those all the time. I'd always get sad with Puff too!! Thanks for reminding me of my childhood, GC.
2) Christi, Lilly has that book and I choke up every time I read it to her!
3) You should show them the movie "Pete's Dragon". It's an oldie but a goodie; even though it was a little before our time we watched it quite a bit growing up. Now it's the movie I pop in when I'm having a bad day - my cinematic Prozac, if you will. :)
4) "It's an oldie but a goodie; even though it was a little before our time" --man, I am definitely old. I was 11 years old when it was released and saw it in the theater. *sigh*
5) Hayley, I had that one on a worn out VHS. Loved that one too.
6) Yeah, I watched Pete's Dragon too. Good idea! (and I don't think it was before my time =)).
7) I can't sing Puff because i cry every time. I should get together with Gareth.
