our friend... a teaser

Well, we are pet sitting again. Last time it was a snake. And that was stressful; he didn't eat the whole time we had him and we had him over two weeks. This time, it's a guinea pig. Jasper. And I have a picture of him. But it's late. Later than I meant it to be. And I can't find my camera cable. So stay tuned for pics and more updates on our week of guinea pig sitting.

Oh, and why are we pet sitting? MacWorld. Again. Our friend works for a company that has a booth. He'll be there all week. Isaiah is going up (to San Fran) Tuesday afternoon and coming home Thursday. I have sitters coming to help me. I can do most things... just not quite all in a row yet. I still could use naps. And I can't bounce around with the rough and tumble boys yet. But I'm getting better. And honestly, I'm more bummed that I don't have the energy to get to MW myself. Sigh.

Sounds like a valid reason! Anything to give Macs some time! I'm not sure about the snake part but I guess a guinea pig works ok. Though I'm not big on the smell with little critters like that.

I'm with LGrant; I don't do Rs: reptiles or rodents. Though from what I hear, the guinea pig may have come in handy while you had the non-eating snake for two weeks. YIKES!

Yeah, so far the smell isn't bad. My husband isn't big on smelly pets (i.e., pets) so it's good that (a) it's only for a week and (b) he'll be gone part of the time.

I'm super smell sensitive. So far the guinea pig pretty much beats everything, even the cat and the snake. I suspect that's because our friend Eric keeps him super-clean. So far, though, clean and quite -- hard to beat.

Glad to hear you are feeling better-it takes time to heal so be kind to yourself.

Brings back memories and none of them are pleasant. Rots a ruck!
