pictures!
Okay... so I've done it. I've uploaded pics. Now before you head over there, I want to say something about each album. First, craft. I have been very into making my own cards recently (for one-off events like bdays and such). You can see some of my other stuff here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/yourhead/sets/721576035365... But, my craft pics here are of a birthday card I made recently for a friends' 40th birthday.
Next, "Various Life" at this moment, only includes two pictures. They are of a very cool (if I do say so myself) GeoTrax train layout made by yours truly for the boys. I must say that getting to layout train tracks several times a week is definitely a big plus for having boys!
Lastly, are the Tahoe pics. Most are self-explanatory. I just want to add to a few notes. We had decided to eat in (at the condo) on our last night there. But the night before, we went out to dinner. We didn't know where to go. I was looking through the restaurant list and saw Hard Rock Cafe. I figured it'd be somewhat loud (to drown out any children that might be obnoxious, not mine of course) and kid-friendly. So off we went. Now, I am fairly into music, and in some sense (the kind that matters at Hard Rock) Isaiah is too. And we seem to have passed along this appreciation to Gareth. So we walked around and looked at all the cool guitars and pics. It was generally fun, and we actually had good food.
To get to the restaurant from our car, we did have to walk through the casino. That was an experience for the boys. Imagine being 5 and walking through a giant toy store and not being able to touch a thing. That's about what it was like. But they did very well.
The last four of my pics are of the wind farm at Altamont Pass about 1.5 hours from our house on the way to (south) Lake Tahoe. When we passed it on the way there, the boys were just beside themselves with excitement. It's hard to tell from the pics, but the windmills are quite tall. And there are a LOT. If only we could get closer, the boys would be in heaven.
Isaiah has put up his pictures (some now, and he says he'll add more) on our flickr account here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/yourhead/
