teacher thank yous
So, last week I gave thank yous to the six teachers at Gareth's school. I made six cards (and envelope). Here are the cards. You can see them more up close in this photo album: http://www.humzoo.com/girlcarew/photos/1/17/

Gareth and I also made bookmarks. I wanted to do something that Gareth could participate in. I know he likes painting. So, we made bookmarks. I bought some foam paper and puffy paints. He painted some abstract art. We let it dry. I was worried that it was still too sticky, even after it dried. So I had some vinyl that I used to cover the paint and sewed on a border. I kinda thought they were cheesy, but from the heart. And several teachers have commented how they love them.

1) The cards and bookmarks are wonderful. How smart of you to have a good assistant. I'll bet he was very excited to give them to his teachers.
2) Y'know, he is shy. Well... shy with certain things. And he doesn't like being on the spot. So he would really rather not be the giver. So I gave them. But he did enjoy making them.
3) i am sure that these are treasured far more than a box of candy. I love the cat one.
4) Those are beautiful! I bet the teachers really loved them!
5) At least he got a chance to show his love for them and they will treasure them. Nothing shows appreciation more than something you took the time to create and personalize for them. Great job!
