otters and seals - and random extras
Finally! I finally uploaded my pics of the otters and seals. The group starts here: http://www.humzoo.com/girlcarew/photos/25/1/ A sample:

Here is the group watching the otters:

Jonas, Grandma Becky, Gareth (in front of G'ma Becky), Isaiah, Grandpa Hembree, Grandma Hembree, Grandpa Matt.
And... just so I don't have to do another teeny blog. Here are a few unrelated pics...
At the end of the WWDC conference, we (Jonas, Gareth, and I) went up to SF for a quick trip to "pick up" Isaiah. We drove to BART (rapid transit) and took that in. We met up w/ Isaiah near the San Francisco Center, which is the first place to have curving escalators. The kids loved riding those:

And, tonight we had the first food from our garden -- lettuce. It was yummy.

1) Those otters in the first picture really look like they're chilling out.
2) You are lucky to be able to grow lettuce. We have so many bunnies that we end up growing rabbit food rather than salad. I may have to put up a fence, but I am resisting. What else are you growing?
3) The gopher from next door has gotten some lettuce. But I'm going to get some of those stakes for in the ground to drive them away. We've also got peppers, tomatoes, peas, zucchini, and cucumbers right now.
