Today at the last half hour of school, Gareth's teacher gave all of his students a certificate (and their report card). One of the most touching things I've seen, though, is that as the kids were all sitting there he said how proud he was of each of them. And the he turned to each kid in turn and said to directly to them, "NAME, I am proud of you." He made sure he looked at each child. And he made sure each child looked at him. And he said that directly and sincerely to them. It was so touching. I am sure there are kids out there who never hear that. And I know he really meant it. I just thought how wonderful it was that he knows how important those words are and how much he must care.

1) Pretty awesome. Teachers have come a long way from my days at school and though I know it is a tough job and at times they wonder why they do it--it sounds like the teachers here on Humzoo are that supportive of their students too. I hope the parents made sure the teacher knew how much it meant to them as well as the kids!!
