The most expensive pair of headphones I've purchased. Razer Carcharias. I bought them because I was stacked with gift cards and the Best Buy associate that looked like he had a little experience with online gaming recommended them. Stirred me away from the cheaper ones.
I haven't used the mic much, but the sound is great. The headphones cup around your ear and have padding at the top of the head band. They're so good I can't hear Mrs. Shoo yelling down the stairwell to come up for dinner.
