Jane's Wedding...

So, I've known Jane for over a decade, and throughout this time, she has been on a quest. For what, you ask? A husband. And not just any husband. The perfect husband. For her. And we, her friends and humble servants, tried and tried to aid her in this search, but to no avail. But finally, after moving a few times and landing in Pekin to settle, buying a house and then a dog, Jane was fast approaching 40, so she did what any perfect-father-of-my-children woman would do: she completed her profile on EHarmony.com, and it didn't take long to find Matthew. Where was he this whole time? About a mile from her house! Congratulations, Jane! You deserve the best - enjoy your honeymoon in California!!

Enjoy the photos...

A peek at Jane's bouquet.

Kristin was the flowergirl and quite charming.

1) The wedding looked like it was a lot of fun. That's great that your friend found her husband online less than a mile from her house. Same thing happened with me and Mr. SallyPants. (While we were dating I had a made-up story for how we met because I didn't want anyone to know I met him on match.com or whatever it was. But I think online dating has lost a lot of its stigma.)

2) Sally, Mr. Shoo and I actually met because of Myspace...I still won't tell my parents that. (I also called him Creepy Chris for the first few months we were dating...)

3) Beautiful wedding!
I met JimtheLimey online. Not through a dating service, just through chatting on yahoo. We told my gramma we met through "correspondence" or "we were like penpals". Unfortunately, he was not just a mile from my house.
So I imported me a husband. :)

4) Are husbands like cars or wine...better if they come from other countries?

6) My wife did the same Ames. Found me in Yahoo chat. It's like mail order husbands only less contrived. Shortly after we met online she went to take her junior year of college in Germany. So that year I took long weekends to fly down to Stuttgart....at the time Carlsberg were running a promotion so I drank lots of bottles of that in order to get vouchers off flights. She almost drove me to alcoholism before we married. It was then that I decided we were made for each other.

When she decided she was going in the wrong direction with her schooling and wanted to change her major to nursing, she had to move back to the states. That was when we were forced into the marriage thing.

7) I guess I'm a sucker for those forruhners. I'm not sure if this would qualify as a mail-order bride... I mean I never even got to see the catalogue. ;)

13) lol... Jim thinks his accent is all gone. I still hear it now and then, but mostly it was in the words he used since I don't think he had a strong accent to begin with. He won't be able to become a citizen for 3 more years. Stupid government with their stupid rules.

14) Yeah, we all know rules are there to be browken....like my spelling skillz for example.
