Man, I felt like I've run a marathon lately...it started with a lot of pain about 10 days ago--I'm talking, like, someone stabbing you in the gut with a spear, pain. First stop, OB/GYN (pain is in the lower-left quadrant, so...) - one ultrasound later, not "female-related." Next stop, Urologist for a full urinalysis; 90% sure it's not a kidney stone. A day later, family physician, who says, "Don't you have diverticulosis?" I'm like, "yes"...however, this has never been an issue for me in the past. Doc says that it is now, and I probably have diverticulitis; she's 99% certain, but I need a CT Scan and proctology exam - fun, right?! Next up, fun "finger" exam and drinking gross liquids to contrast internally for the CT. This is the only part I hate about growing older: issues warranting medical exams and waiting for the results, which we'll spend the next few days doing.
Oh yes, my husband has a sinus infection, Gwendolyn has an ear infection and Galvin has some sort of allergy--we're hoping that it's related to our remodeling project and will go away over time. In the meantime, there are three different antibiotics going on in this house and Benadryl for Galvin...the Momma is thinking of taking some of that tonight and maybe sleeping 'til Monday.
Happy weekend, all!

1) Geez Angi! I hope things improve in your household very soon! We were all sick at once this winter and I know how that goes. Best of luck sleeping til Monday.. I didn't think that was possible once you had children.
2) Uhg...I hate doctors and all the poking, prodding, and totally uncomfortable tests they do. My mom has the same thing and opted for the surgery as she had some really bad episodes that required hospitalization and 7 units of blood. Yeah, scary thing. Anyway, if you do opt for the surgery at some point, I highly suggest wearing some kind of girdle, corset or after pregnany belly support/compression. It will help with the healing process, make it less painful and prevent hernias.
